Karen Willock: Generational Trauma, Grief & Survivor's Guilt in Recovery
Karen Willock is the National Director for the family program at Tree House Recovery, and the Clinical Supervisor of the Portland location. She has been in addiction treatment since 1984, and got sober after her stepdaughter's murder in 1983. Everything she teaches, she lived first. In this episode, she joins Justin McMillen to discuss why men and women grieve so differently, the night she abandoned a room full of resistant clients until they came looking for her help, and the "supercomputer" she now uses to teach analytical people how to trust their own intuition.
